Musgrove Mill State Historic Site

The site of the 1780 battle of Musgrove’s Mill where a small force of Patriot militia fought and defeated a larger force of Loyalist and Provincial soldiers in a short but pivotal battle.

Outdoor Activities

Fishing

Enjoy fishing in the Enoree River or in the park pond. A valid South Carolina fishing license is required.

Geocaching

Cache hunters can explore the many geocaches located within and around the park. For more information visit the official geocaching website.

Hiking

The Battlefield Trail winds through the rolling hills of the northern wooded area of the park and site of the 1780 battle. This trail is handicap accessible for 0.1 mile where you will see Horseshoe Falls.

Kayaking/Canoeing

The Enoree is known as the "River of Muscadines" and ranges from two to six feet deep and 40 to 70 feet wide. Visitors can find a canoe and kayak launch. Information on local take-outs and launches is available in the park’s Visitor Center.
