Ninety Six National Historic Site

The site of a 1775 battle and a critical outpost for the British after they captured Charleston in 1780, the colonial town of Ninety Six was also the setting of a 28-day siege in 1781.

Park Grounds

The visitor center parking lot is open 8:30-4:30, with the exception of certain federal holidays. The front gate closes at 4:30. The park grounds are open from sunrise to sunset. There are eight parking spots located outside of the front gate for early and late visitors. The visitor center is open Wednesdays through Sundays from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Star Fort Pond

From April1, to October 31, the Star Fort Pond is open for fishing on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. The Pond is CLOSED Sundays through Tuesdays, Thursdays, and from November 1through March 31. From April through October there is a portalet located in the Pond parking lot.
