Built circa 1740, Hopsewee Plantation was one of the South’s major rice plantations and the birthplace of Thomas Lynch, Jr., one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence.

We close for weddings and special events, so please check our calendar when booking for availability.

Admission & Tickets

Tickets for our guided tour of the home and grounds are available below for quick, easy and secure booking as well as by phone at (843) 546-7891. You'll be able to view the hours we are open to the public and check desired dates.

House tours are available Tuesday to Saturday on the hour 10:00 am until 3:00 pm. Dining is available from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. Tickets are available for adults, seniors ages 65 and over, students ages 12 to 17, and children ages 6 to 11.  Please contact us for groups of 10 or more.
