First granted in 1675, this National Historic Landmark connects to the very fabric of our nation’s complex history focusing on the contributions of the Middleton family as well as the enslaved Africans and African Americans who lived and worked here. The stories are a microcosm of United States history.

General Admission includes access to 65 acres of formal landscaped Gardens, a look at 18th and 19th century plantation life with exhibits, displays, artisans and historic animal breeds in the Stableyards, and parking.
