One of the last Virginia land battles of the Revolution prior to Yorktown, Green Spring saw Anthony Wayne and the Marquis de Lafayette successfully lead their troops to victory against an ambush laid by Charles Cornwallis.

Know Before You Go

The Green Spring Battlefield trail is currently owned and maintained by the Historic Virginia Land Conservancy and is a part of the Virginia Capital Trail. Entry is free to all visitors, and a small parking lot is available adjacent to historic interpretation signage.
