The museum is home to several permanent exhibits highlighting the Battle of the Capes, the Battle of Hampton Roads, the Great White Fleet, World War II, and the Cold War. It is also home to authentic uniforms, underwater artifacts, ship models, and artwork from each of these periods. The museum also features one of the largest and last battleships the U.S. Navy ever built, the USS Wisconsin, which is open for the public to tour.
