The cost of admission to the park is FREE. Park trails and lawn are open from sunrise to sunset everyday. Hours vary and alternate throughout the year. They can be found here: Visit www.nps.gov/fost/planyourvisit/hours.htm The park closed on most federal holidays.

There are no entrance fees for this park.
Directions
Take I-90 (NY Thruway) to Exit 33 (Verona-Rome). Turn Right onto Rt. 365 E. Follow Rt. 365, veering left as Rt. 365 merges with Rt 69 at the fork in the road. This will take you over an arterial bridge into the City of Rome. Fort Stanwix NM will be across Erie Blvd. on the right side of James Street.

Programming
Who wants to go on a boring grown-up tour when you can do some fun, cool kid things while exploring a historic fort? If that person is you, then ask a park ranger how can YOU become a Fort Stanwix Junior Ranger today!
- Stop by the park visitor center or the historic fort and request an activity booklet from a park ranger. It can also be downloaded here.
- Try to complete as many activities as your age. Each activity will tell you where to go and what to look for.
- Spend some time exploring with your family or friend group. Share answers. This isn't a test! Have fun and get ready for adventure.
- When you are done (or think you're done), bring your booklet back to a ranger to receive your badge!
Other ways you can help National Parks as a Junior Ranger:
- Learn the park stories.
- Stay safe.
- Keep the park free of litter.
- Tell others about the things that you have learned.
- Continue learning about other National Parks!
Colonial Dress-Up Trunk
This activity can be found in the Gregg Barrack's Station inside the historic fort.
When's the last time you played dress-up? When you visit the park make sure to check out the Colonial Dress-Up Trunk! Dress as a Continental Soldier. Try on a little girl's clothes. Who could you be?
Bonus activity: Dress-up the whole family and take a picture in the fort together!
