Traveling Exhibition at the Linebaugh Library

The Capt. William Lytle, Col. Hardy Murfree, and Stones River Chapters of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the American Battlefield Trust are excited to feature the American Revolution Experience at the Linebaugh Library from June 3 - June 10, 2026.
The innovative pop-up exhibition includes display panels and interactive digital kiosks that use storytelling, illustration, technology and unique artifacts and primary accounts to connect modern audiences with the people and places that shaped the birth of our nation.
Hours of Operation
The exhibit is open during the following hours:
- Mon - Thu | 9:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
- Fri - Sat | 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Special Events
Throughout the week, there will be children’s programs and activities hosted by Linebaugh Public Library and by the Rutherford County chapters of the NSDAR. Activities include a patriotic scavenger hunt, colonial games on the patio, and a Revolutionary Bingo game.
- June 3 at 5:00 p.m. (Ribbon Cutting Event)
- Guest speaker, Dr. Amy Sayward, will deliver "Swamps, Swords, and Sovereignty: The Campaign for Independence," a lecture that will delve into the South's role in the American Revolution. A reception will follow with Colonial-style cookies from The Sweet Addiction.
