Hannah Weston (1758-1855) of Jonesboro, Maine, is remembered as one of Maine's notable female patriots of the Revolutionary War. Her fame comes from her courageous efforts to supply ammunition to American forces in the lead-up to the Battle of Machias in June 1775, often regarded as the first naval engagement of the American Revolution.
