General Herkimer Marker (Herkimer Takes Command) at Utica, New York. This marker is one in a series of markers commemorating the relief column commanded by Nicholas Herkimer that marched to relieve the besieged Fort Stanwix in August 1777. 

The marker is in Herkimer, New York, in Herkimer County. It is at the intersection of North Main Street and Court Street, on the left, when traveling south on North Main Street. This historical marker is located in the northwest corner of the county courthouse's front yard.
