General Herkimer Marker in Utica, New York. This marker commemorates the spot where Herkimer's forces and wagons turned south to ford the Mohawk River. In the ensuing battle, Herkimer's troops, including Herkimer, will suffer horrendous casualties. 

The marker is in Oneida County, Utica, New York. It is at the intersection of Herkimer Road and Leland Avenue, on the left when traveling east on Herkimer Road.
