Now one of the oldest remaining farmhouses on Manhattan Island, the Dyckman Farmhouse was home to some of the first settlers of what is now Inwood
Located at Broadway and 204th Street in the Inwood neighborhood of Manhattan, the Dyckman Farmhouse stands as one of the only remaining farmhouse in the borough and an active house museum since 1916. The home is an excellent example of gambrel-roofed house in New York City and is characteristic of the Dutch Colonial architectural style.
A vestige of New York city's rural origins, the museum houses Native American, American Revolution, and Dyckman family belongings as permanent fixtures of its collections. One can also find the Hamilton Grange National Memorial and the Morris Jumel Mansion in New York City, both houses being found in Upper Manhattan and dating back to the Colonial and Revolutionary War period.
